Commercial Building Energy Audits and Analysis

Energy auditors contribute to energy efficiency by finding ways to improve energy practices, minimize waste and reduce costs. Commercial energy auditors examine commercial buildings to determine how energy is used and where businesses can curtail waste and save money.  The California Community College Chancellor’s Office awarded a grant to City College of San Francisco to develop training curriculum in Commercial Building Energy Audits and Analysis. The team comprised of industry experts outlined a program that covered the broad range of skills required to work in this field. This content was divided into 15 modular courses designed for a community college level student. The curriculum is available to other institutions.  Click here to learn more and to request the curriculum.  This curriculum is available with consultation for adaptation through the Curriculum Expansion Project.
